Checkout Instructors

To begin the onboarding process, we require a checkout flight with one of our checkout instructors. Each of our checkout instructors is specifically trained to help you transition from you previous aircraft over to the Flight Design. Ample Aviation is built for pilots who already have their CFI or CPL so generally the transition is fairly quick, 2-5 hours of training getting to know the aircraft and its characteristics.

This transition training is billed at the full $100 per hour wet. If you feel you would like additional training practice after the initial training Konrad offers time building flights and will even split the cost with you to get your more comfortable in the aircraft.

To become a checkout instructor a member must be in good standing, hold at least a CFI license, have at least 20 hours in the make/model and be current in the make/model. If you would like to become a checkout instructor please reach out to Konrad directly.

Elan Furman

Hi, I’m Elan—a CFII and checkout instructor here at Ample Aviation LLC. I also independently instruct out of KGEU and KDVT while building time in the Ample fleet as I work toward my goal of flying for the airlines. When I’m not in the air, you’ll usually find me outdoors—hiking, playing sports, or training for Ironman triathlons. Whether you’re looking for someone to fly with or just want to talk aviation, I’m always happy to connect!

Jodi Sylvester

My name is Jodi, and I grew up in Colorado. I was a flight attendant for seven years before moving to Arizona for flight training in 2022. I’ve been flying nonstop ever since, with some exceptions for hiking and spending time with my dog. I’ve been a full-time flight instructor for a year at a school in Goodyear. I also have my CFI-I and MEI. I love flight instructing, but I wanted to see what other experiences were out there. Joining Ample Aviation Flying Club was one of the greatest decisions I’ve made here. I’ve had some of my most memorable flights, and I’ve met so many awesome aviators who all have the same passion as me. I love talking about our aviation goals as we build time in the most fun way. It’s the best experience to just be able to hop in the plane and fly wherever we want!

Max Green

I am currently 22 years old and have been flying for around 4 years now. I was born in Australia, raised in New Zealand and was brought up around the aviation environment. I am currently a part 141 CFII and as of late a 141 check airmen. For rate of instruction I would like to work for $20 an hour or would be more than happy to work accredited flight time instead. My phone number is (702) 350-9855 and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
